Concert Production Coordinator
Lux Cantorum Chicago is a non-profit auditioned choir in the Chicago area; our mission is: “We nurture an inclusive, creative community by sharing the transformative power of sacred choral music.” We are a small organization, run by a volunteer Board of Directors, with only two paid part-time staff: our Artistic Director and our Accompanist.
We are seeking a consultant to manage concert production for our winter (December) and spring (May) concerts. Responsibilities include planning, design, and production of promotional materials, venue management and coordination, e-ticket sales, concert publicity (media management), concert print material, and coordination of volunteer concert staffing. These tasks have been managed by volunteers in the past so the foundations have been developed, but we need professional assistance to make the process more efficient and to reduce board member burnout. Estimated annual hours: 50 Compensation rate: $22.50/hr
This consultant will report to the Board president and will need to collaborate with the Artistic Director and other Board members. Experience with musical performance and/or working with arts organizations is a plus.
A more detailed list of tasks is available on request.
