Chicago Sculpture Exhibit Managing Director
Managing Director of nonprofit arts organization. Part-time. Salary $25,000. ChicagoSculpture Exhibit installs large-scale sculptures in Chicago neighborhoods. Sculptures rotate in and out on annual basis, so each year there is a new exhibit. 2022 has 43 sculptures.Managing Director: Sends Call-to-Artists every Fall to submit drawings of sculptures to be juried in January. Also reaches out to sponsors, old and new, to sponsor for the upcoming show. Managing Director: organizes all sculptures to be exhibited. Works with artists and sponsors to choose locations and schedule installations.This job is very detail oriented. Candidate must be very organized and familiar with Google Drive & Quickbooks for all financials.Manages accounts: pledges from sponsors, payments to artists, tax filings.Director attends quarterly board meetings. Meets with Exec. Bd.regularly throughout the year to report updates/progress.Work can be done at home - approx. 10+ hours/wk. Spring (March-June) - Schedule removals from previous year followed by installations. This is the busy season - attending installations mid-April through May/June.
