Camp Counselor with ART Focus

Harand Camp of the Theatre Arts, an established theater, sports and activities camp for children 7-18, is looking for a Camp Counselor specializing in ART for its 66th Season (June 15 - August 3, 2021).

Counselors are assigned a specific cabin group, serve as team leaders, and also teach and assist in our theater and activities program.

Other high-need specialty areas Include: Sports, Video and General Games & Activities.

•Camp Counselors 18+ (out of high school!)
•Proof of COVID Vaccination (must be fully vaccinated by June 15)
•Previous camp, education or youth program experience preferred
•Excellent with kids of all ages
•Ability to instruct activity classes in variety of areas
•High energy + flexible in a fast-paced environment
•Strong leadership + team-building skills
•Positive attitude
•Creative problem solving
•Common sense and sound judgment
•Sincere desire to be a role model for children
•Willingness to follow, implement and enforce COVID protocols

Dates: June 15 - August 3, 2021
Seven-week commitment (including orientation)
All employees must be available to work and reside on the Carthage campus for the duration of our camp season!

Salary Ranges:
Counselors - $1000-$1300 (more based on experience)
Counselors also receive FULL room + board (single or double room and 3 meals per day) on the Carthage College campus and all work-related activities paid for. A small travel stipend may be available.

Time-Off: Four (4) full days off, rotating evenings
