Box Office Manager

POSITION SUMMARY: Join us as we open up The Salt Shed! Our Box Office Manager will play a critical role in setting up the first indoor shows to go on sale to the public! This person in this role will use their previous experience in Box Office operations to help us build a set of best practices and policies to ensure a smooth ticketing operation from day one.


  • Serve as the primary contact for all ticketing at The Salt Shed
  • Build and maintain Salt Shed shows for sale in Ticketmaster
  • Manage the hiring, training and day-to-day supervision of Box Office staff
  • Manage staff in various areas of venue operation on event days (box office windows, will call, parking lot, ticket scanning, bag check, etc)
  • Manage artist VIP, guest, photo/press, staff lists and providing correct event credentials as appropriate
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Sponsorship, Talent buyers, tour personnel and other stakeholders to setup events, place holds, and process orders in a timely manner, ensuring all ticketing needs are addressed
  • Active monitoring of all ticket inventory
  • Answer guest inquiries via phone and venue email, and maintaining venue office with appropriate supplies
  • Manage venue branded merchandise sales in conjunction with Guest Services Manager and with our merchandising partner, including ideas for new merchandise and ensuring an accurate store interface.
  • Ensure ADA compliance in all ticketing procedures
  • Resolving guest issues with excellent customer service
  • Maintain accurate accounting records and settlement reports for each event
  • May assist with ticketing functions for other 16 On Center properties as needed
  • Performing other tasks or projects as assigned by venue and executive leadership team


  • Previous experience as a Box Office Manager or ticketing leadership role
  • Experience with Ticketmaster strongly preferred
  • Previous experience in building a team and training, scheduling, and managing hourly staff
  • Previous experience managing ancillary products such as Parking, Group Sales, Upsells, and other premium hospitality offerings
  • Great attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
  • Flexible schedule and the ability to work late hours
  • Experience in communicating with staff, guests and VIP’s, and providing excellent customer service for guests and across all levels of business operations
  • Skills in interpersonal communication and teamwork
  • Tolerance of all cultures, music and art forms
  • Position requires ability to stand for long periods and work in a loud indoor + outdoor environment


  • Must have the ability/stamina to work a minimum of 40 hours a week.
  • Ability to stand/walk for extended periods
  • Will frequently be seated at a computer and key in data
  • Must be able to work in both warm and cool environments, indoors and outdoors.
  • Must be able to tolerate higher levels of noise from music and customer traffic.
