Box Office Associate
Moraine Valley is the home of the Fine and Performing Arts Center offers an array of music, dance, theater, and art for all ages. Featuring the Dorothy Menker Theater, the John and Angeline Oremus Theater, and the Robert F. DeCaprio Art Gallery, the center opened its doors in 1994. The center prides itself as a showcase for performances, a catalyst for budding artists to practice their art, a center for academic preparation for two-year degrees and transfer programs, and a resource for all who love the arts and want to learn more.
The mission of the Fine and Performing Arts Center, through its public presentations of dance, music, theater and the visual arts, is to enrich the members of the college community by providing opportunities for people of all ages to experience and grow through the arts.
The Center is currently looking to fill the position of Box Office Associate. This position will be exposed to day to day theatre events and planning, as well as assist in making them thrive. Below are a list of duties and desired qualifications.
-Using Arts People ticketing system to sell single tickets and memberships
-Educating Patrons on upcoming events and performance information both in person and over the phone
-Printing and sending tickets, as needed
-Responding to Patron email inquires
-Phone and in-person ticket sales
-Additional duties as assigned
-Must adhere to all state, local and college covid-19 guidelines
-Minimums of 2 years’ experience in customer service or related field
-Previous Box Office a plus, but not required
-Familiar with Social Media Platforms a plus, but not required
-Enthusiastic about theatre and the performing arts
-Experience with Microsoft Suite
-Must be available to work evenings and weekends
