Bookkeeper
The Old Town Triangle Association (OTTA) is a nonprofit organization protecting the landmark district, beautification of public spaces and social events to create a sense of community. It also offers art classes, an art gallery, physical fitness programs, meeting space and events, and hosts the annual Old Town Art Fair in June, one of the oldest juried art fairs in the United States. The OTTA requires bookkeeping support for its full set of activities, a year-round role. Duties: 1. Update QB on-line –create Deposits, enter Expenses, Print checks 2. Master OTTA’s QB Chart of Accounts 3. Process Payroll, Expense Reports and maintain controls 4. Create and send timely Donor Recognition Letters 5. Support Month-End Processes: Gather Bank Statements and perform Bank Account Reconciliations & QB Journal Entries 6. Support the Annual Audit process 7. Perform document scanning and filing9. Learn & use “Membership Works” software, Match balances to QB entries -- Required Proficiencies & Skills: Microsoft Excel, Outlook, QuickBooks Online, Solid understanding of Database structures- Self-starter - Excellent communication & organizational skills- Excellent time management- Attention to details and productivity-driven- Proactive approach to problem-solving -- Experience:- 3-years bookkeeping experience- Some college-level business classes or equivalent, Prior experience with not-for-profit organizations, Most hours are Remote. Onsite work is required fortnightly to Print Checks and process- Onsite: “Learning Curve” orientation period – 2 to 3 hours per week - Ongoing workload: 10 hours per month- Seasonal: Old Town Art Fair: Must be able to do twice the typical hours in May/June $20 to $30 per hour. 1099 Contractor.
