BAC Teaching Artist, School Partnerships (Theater)
We are seeking teaching artists to begin programming immediately with our School Partnerships department for winter/spring 2023. Programming opportunities have flexibility of hours per week and a pay scale of $30-$60 per hour contingent on educational background and teaching experience. This hourly compensation does take into account preparation for lessons and instruction.
Teaching Artists should be fluent in preparing, planning, and teaching course material in a public school environment. Our Education Coordinator and Education Manager collaborate with teaching artists on developing program specific curriculum mapping and lesson planning. All resident teaching artists must clear a background check to be eligible for programming with BAC school partners. Prior experience in CPS is strongly preferred.
As part of the Beverly Arts Center’s mission, our School Partnerships department offers tailored Arts-enrichment programming to Chicago area public and private schools throughout the city and surrounding suburbs - especially the south and west sides - before-school, in-school, and after-school. Join our resident professional Teaching Artists to collaborate on arts integrated programming and refresh any teaching skills with our annual Professional Development cycle. Please email resume and weekly availability with Interim Director of Education, Anthony Whitson-Martini.
