BAC Summer Show Camp Junior Counselor/Junior Performance Staff
DESCRIPTION: The Beverly Arts Center seeks exceptional, motivated high school artists who desire experience in childcare and arts education to work with up and coming professional artists as Junior Counselors and Junior Instructors for students ages 5-13 for the BAC’s Summer Show Camp.
This position will receive a stipend of $4,200.
BAC’s Summer Show Camp will run June 12th-August 11th, 2023.
There will be no programming July 3rd-7th.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be currently in high school, or have graduated in 2023
- Must have parent/guardian permission to participate
- Experience in the arts preferred
- Childcare experience a plus
DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Assisting assigned Counselor with classroom management and activities for assigned age group.
- Supervising campers for lunch, recess, and scheduled bathroom breaks.
- Instructing and assisting campers with maintaining clean spaces, including classrooms, theaters, bathrooms, the atrium/lunchroom, and courtyard.
- Participating in and/or assisting morning workshops and afternoon rehearsals.
- Assisting backstage, front of house, or onstage as needed.
There are 5 Junior Counselor roles available, with the option of adding more based on enrollment.
