Assistant Manager Ceramics/Studio Sales
Thrown Elements Pottery's Assistant Managers play a crucial role in creating the warm, friendly, professional and creative environment which allows our clients to feel welcome and safe, letting them free to create. Our Assistant Managers our expected to display good leadership and communication skills, as well as, convey a mastery of our products, services, and facility. As a leader, this individual acts as a mentor and role model for all Associates and Interns, focusing on the daily functioning of the studio as well as on customer service and the retail sales of our products and services.
Comfortable working in a team environment, get can be independently self-directed. Enthusiastic personality that loves helping others find the space and tools they need to create.
The Assistant Manager will assist the manager and owner in the day to day operations of the studio.
They will oversee Associates, and Interns making sure all policies and procedures are adhered to and tasks completed, providing continuity for staff, students, and customers.
Have ability to see tasks that need to be done, and knowledge of Dip Glazing, Loading, Unloading and Processing Kilns to ensure a timely turn of items.
They will be part of the planning and development of programming, as well as teaching or leading assigned events. This includes requesting planned resources needed for the event, set-up, execution, and clean-up, while delegating tasks where appropriate.
In participation with other staff, help in creating and maintaining the of voice of thrown elements pottery with the goal of increasing sales & staying engaged with our customer base, through proposed ideas for the functioning of the studio, social media posts, events, off-site representation, and fielding inquiries and mobile art programming sales calls.
Propose Social (electronic) media content (either original or re-posts).
Handle sales phone calls and inquiries to the community for our outreach mobile art programs.
