ASSISTANT CONSERVATORRestoration Division, LLC. is seeking a full-time W9 employee with a variance in experience. As an Assistant Conservator, one should have impeccable attention to detail and the ability to work towards multiple goals at once, as well as a sense of responsibility towards their work. Experience in the following areas is desirable. A background in painting, as well as framing skills, stretching canvases, and art handling and installation experience. Experience working with wood and/or metal is also appreciated, as well as driving skills with commercial vans and trailers. Lastly, candidates with moderate to severe allergies should not apply as varnishes and other conservation-grade chemicals are often used. Conservation skills are not required upon application. The right candidate should be expected to be trained by the conservation team on the firm’s practices.
- Bachelors Degree in Fine Art or Painting preferred
- A valid US Drivers License required
- The ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted
