Our Mission: Awakenings provides survivors of sexual violence with a trauma-informed, inclusive art-making experience that encourages healing.
The goal of this internship is to provide the intern an opportunity to obtain hands-on experience within a small arts non-profit during a season of programming. For the Summer of 2023 the intern will assist the Programming Coordinator with studio maintenance, open studio hours, art workshop preparation, running of workshops, some social media marketing support.
This internship is largely an in-person commitment. All workshops will be in-person and intern is required to support all workshop dates listed above.
Please note that this internship is unpaid. College credit is available.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to learn quickly and meet deadlines in a timely manner
- Works well in a small team & is a self-starter
- Experience with event planning & support (not required)
- Experience with art making of any kind (not required)
