Administrator & Social Media Coordinator

ASMP Chicago/Midwest: Administrator & Social Media Coordinator

ASMP Chicago/Midwest is looking for a part-time Administrator & Social Media Coordinator! This paid position works 5-10hrs ($15/hr) each week to support the American Society of Media Photographers Chicago/Midwest Chapter. ASMP is a membership organization that builds a supportive community for photographers focusing on business resources, educational programs, and networking opportunities. We are currently working on a one-day photography conference, Strictly Business 2020 on January 18, 2020. We would love for someone to jump into this role and project!

Responsibilities include:

-Managing ASMP Chicago/Midwest website

-Communication with current and new members Managing and creating content for social media channels

-Develop and implement marketing strategies for events

-Assist in coordinating professional development events for photographers working with ASMP Board and attend monthly board meetings

-Communicating with Chicago photography community and maintaining organizational partnerships

-Staffing ASMP Chicago/Midwest events

Skills:

-Experience managing social media channels and developing social media strategies

-Administrative or event planning experience

-Organized and excellent communicator

-Experience in Adobe Photoshop and/or InDesign and Google Drive/Docs

-Passion for growing and supporting Chicago and Midwest’s photo and art community
