Admin Assistant - Non-Profit
Non-profit is seeking an administrative assistant.
In addition to general office tasks, assistant will support staff with a variety of projects such as administrative and fundraising-related tasks. Assistant will attend staff meetings and become an integral part of the AMI team.
Assistant is invited to networking and professional development opportunities and will obtain a 360 degree perspective on the inner workings of a small arts education non profit. Assistant will gain real life office experience, and learn the practical challenges of juggling priorities and meeting their personal deadlines.
Hours: Normal business hours, somewhat flexible. POSITION IS NOT FULL TIME - 20-30 hours required per week.
Location: Mostly on-site in western suburbs of Chicago. Occasionally assistant will be able to work from home
*Applicant must have regular access to a car for transportation*
Duties - Ability to work closely with Executive Director
General administrative, including day-to-day operations
-Help with development of programs
-Ability to meet time sensitive deadlines for projects
-Organize and maintain databases
-Assist with projects as needed
-Help with fundraising & communications
-Support mailings and other annual/ semi-annual campaign initiatives
-Assist in the production of special events -
