2022 Honorees:
Candida Alvarez + Monique Meloche

This year, we celebrate the luminosity and achievements of our honorees – artist Candida Alvarez and art dealer Monique Meloche.
Alvarez is a Chicago-based artist and widely regarded as one of her generation's most highly innovative and experimental painters. She is the first Latina woman to hold the F.H. Sellers Professor in Painting title at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where she has taught since 1998.
Meloche founded Monique Meloche Gallery in Chicago. The gallery presents conceptually challenging installations in Chicago and at art fairs internationally. Monique is widely respected for her ability to spot young talent, having worked with celebrated artists early in their careers, including Amy Sherald, Rashid Johnson and Ebony G. Patterson.
The evening includes a cocktail party, art auction and music, and a Host Committee with leaders from Chicago's philanthropic, cultural and artistic community attends and supports the event. Tickets range from $350 - $60.
Host Committee Co-Chairs: Denise Gardner and Karen Jones
