Job Overview
The Arts Professional plays a vital role in fostering creativity and artistic expression among children and young adults. DMDL is currently looking to hire Arts professionals to provide arts enrichment services to Chicago area Nonpublic school students in grades K-8. This position involves developing and implementing engaging arts programs including dance, music, voice, poetry, and visual arts. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for the arts and a strong background in behavior management and childcare, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for all participants.
Duties
- Design and deliver innovative arts programs that encourage creativity in K-8 grade students.
- Facilitate art classes that promote self-expression.
- Implement effective behavior management strategies to maintain a positive learning environment.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming space for all participants.
Desired Qualifications
- Strong skills in the visual arts.
- Ability to plan engaging projects that meet arts education objectives.
- Proficiency in behavior management techniques to support diverse learning needs.
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff and students in non-public schools.
- A creative mindset with the ability to engage in other hands-on artistic activities.
- A background in early childhood education or related experience is highly desirable.
- Experience in preschool or early childhood education is preferred, not required.
