BRIDGEPORT ART CENTER proudly announces a call for artists for Sweet Home Chicago, curated by Marci Rubin, that will be exhibited in our distinguished 4th Floor Gallery.
Sweet Home Chicago will feature a thoughtfully curated selection of exceptional artworks deriving their subjects and inspirations from the Windy City.
ELIGIBILITY: Sweet Home Chicago is open to artists 18 years of age and older, at all stages in their careers, and who are living or working within 150 miles of the City of Chicago. This curated exhibition is accepting a diverse range of art media and styles, including sculpture and installation based works whose subject is Chicago.

- NOTIFICATION OF DECISION: Saturday, June 26th, 2023
- EXHIBITION DATES: July 21st -September 1st, 2023
- OPENING RECEPTION: Friday, July 21st, 2023; 7-10pm
- APPLICATION FEE: The application fee is $25 for 1- 3 images, non-refundable.
DELIVERY OF ARTWORK: Accepted artists must deliver their work to the Bridgeport Art Center on Saturday Sat July 15th, 2023; 11am-3pm
NO LATE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED
PICK UP OF ARTWORK: Saturday September 2nd, 2023; 12-4pm
ENTRY GUIDELINES:
Entries must be high resolution comparable to 300 dpi at 4″x5″ JPEG documents. Each artist may submit three (3) works. The photo submitted of your work is the image that will be used for promo if accepted; please submit photos with only your work in them. Artworks must match your submission photo. All artworks must be completed, dry, include hanging hardware and be ready for installation. Please no static hanging wire. Use a flexible picture hanging wire, wall buddies, or d-rings, Sawtooth hangers are acceptable on pieces smaller than 14” x 18”.
