Today more than ever we are surrounded by images vying for our attention. From slow process image captures beginning in 1826 to today’s HD photo bursts, we are using and evolving the photographic processes to capture every moment. At one time photographs formed evidence of a person, place, or thing caught in time. Now artists have the ability to manipulate the medium to create new or never before experienced moments through manipulated photography.

Our cultural moods dictate different photographic trains of thought, slang, and views on art. So whether you are a “Take a picture it will last longer”, “Pics or it didn’t happen”, or formally trained artist of Fine Art photography, this call is for you. All photographic processes are encouraged, including traditional wet processes, digital, and manipulated photographs. The Snap exhibition will be a survey of contemporary photography at a time when anything goes.
