Open Call to exhibit at the Harold Washington Library Center
After a hiatus of nearly 3 years, due to all the shut-down's associated with COVID, the Harold Washington Library is finally ready to resume its Open Call for Chicago artists to exhibit their work.
This is an excellent opportunity to showcase your talents as a local artist. The Library will provide citywide publicity for your exhibit and work with you to develop and promote your workshop.
After the deadline for submissions has closed, our jury will make its final decisions. Then our Exhibits team will then reach out to the finalists to help you select dates and gather information about the title cards and press releases.
For those of you who are not selected, there is still the opportunity to be added to the Chicago Artists Files. This is an archive of over 13,000 artists who have lived and worked in Chicago over the past 150 years. We would be honored to add your submissions to this widely used resource.
Our Exhibits team is excited to once again provide our local artists with this great opportunity and look forward to your participation.
