Open Call for Live Stream Performance
Out of Site Chicago is a public performance program that facilitates dialogue directly with the public and prioritizes interactive performance. In 2020, OoS moved our program online to support our alumni artist community. We have forged a collaboration with Experimental Sound Studio to curate performance art and facilitate live streaming events in 2021. In the weekly Artist Focus program, we delve deep into each artist’s public performance practice. As a collaborative community of international performance artists we have bi-weekly meetings to determine programming and facilitate artists needs. We work by consensus and foster collaborations within our network.
Out of Site Chicago is inviting applications from local, national and international performance artists to submit proposals for live streaming performances. As an organization OoS specializes in public performance and we prioritize work that is interactive but are open to all forms of performance art and dance for this submission. This invitation is for performance artists and dancers who are working in the field. Selected artists will be welcomed into an international community and we are looking for applications from artists who will contribute to the spirit of collective engagment who are invested in public performance practices.
Selected artists will be invited to participate in the Artist Focus weekly program that happens in the Spring and Fall.
Each artist is trained in live streaming and each artist will receive a minimum stipend of $50. (Please ensure you can receive payments via paypal prior to applying).
