DEADLINE EXTENDED: SAIC emerge 2020-21: open call for submissions
emerge, is a highly visible online journal that publishes annually. It is released to a national and global online audience. The journal is supported by the Arts Administration department at SAIC and produced by graduate students in the Arts Administration and Policy program. This year's editorial team is seeking submissions for emerge’s 2020-21 publication.
The theme for the forthcoming iteration will be the "dream" issue, which aims to radically reimagine and redefine what exactly comprises the future of the field of arts and culture.
emerge is interested in submissions that engage with and/or respond to questions such as: What do the arts organizations of our dreams look like? What should become of art and artists in a post-pandemic world? What would we be doing in our work as cultural workers if we were living in the reality we’re currently striving for? What alternate, irresistible realities are you dreaming of?
The opportunity is open to everyone, inside and outside the SAIC community. The deadline for submissions has been extended to January 18, 2021. To submit, please visit here. Please send questions to firstname.lastname@example.org.
