Cancer Center Call for Submissions

We are thrilled to announce an inspiring opportunity for artists of all skill level and background to contribute their creativity to help fight cancer. City of Hope, a cancer clinic located in the heart of downtown Chicago, is inviting students to participate in an art exhibition that aims to provide comfort and healing to individuals and families affected by cancer.

Art has the power to heal, to inspire, and to evoke emotion. At City of Hope, we are committed to creating a space that not only treats the physical aspects of cancer but also nurtures the emotional well-being of our patients and their families. This is where your art comes in. We are looking for artworks that embody themes of hope, tranquility, and resilience—art that can serve as a beacon of comfort and serenity in our clinic.

Exhibition Details:

  • Themes: Hope, Tranquility, Resilience
  • Media Accepted: Paintings, Drawings, Mixed Media (please ensure all materials are safe and suitable for a healthcare environment)
  • Submission Deadline: May 26, rolling for future exhibits
  • Submission Guidelines: Please include your name, school, a brief description of the artwork, and a photograph of your piece. Send all submissions to Tracey Thomas, Oncology Outpatient Services Director, at
  • Selection Process: Artworks will be selected based on how well they reflect the themes and the emotional impact they may have in a healing environment
