Call for Exhibition Proposals at the International Museum of Surgical Science
The International Museum of Surgical Science is seeking exhibition proposals for its rotating contemporary art program, “Anatomy in the Gallery.”
The exhibit will take place from November 18th, 2020 to February 12th, 2023.
Competitive proposals will address the themes of anatomy, the body, disease, wellness, disability, surgery, and other medical subjects and specializations.
Artists are encouraged to schedule a public artist talk and/or other affiliated exhibit programming such as workshop or performance.
We believe in the power of the arts to build community, inspire social change and bring fresh perspective to difficult and complex issues—including issues of race, ethnicity, class, gender identity and sexual orientation. IMSS seeks applications that address these issues.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, with no deadlines. Submissions
are not guaranteed to be exhibited.
