CALL FOR ENTRIES: QUEERwerks

QUEERwerks – In celebration of Pride month, Silvermine is honored to have Curator Stamatina Gregory, who will review international submissions that reflect the wide range of LGBTQIA+ artistic expression.

**JUROR** Stamatina Gregory is a curator and art historian. They have taught art history, critical theory, and writing at the University of Pennsylvania, New York University, Parsons/The New School, the School of Visual Arts, and Sotheby's Institute, and have organized exhibitions for institutions including the Institute of Contemporary Art, Philadelphia, the Santa Monica Museum of Art/ICA LA, The Cooper Union, Austrian Cultural Forum, and the 55th Venice Biennale. They are the Head Curator and Director of Exhibitions and Collections at the Leslie-Lohman Museum of Art, NYC.

**BENEFITS** Exposure on the global platform artnet, Artsy, Silvermine Galleries website and relevant social media. Accepted artists will be eligible for membership and representation by Silvermine Galleries.

**Awards** Grand Prize of $1000. includes a solo Viewing Room on Artsy and artnet with Silvermine Galleries, and a 1-year Guild membership. The Juror has additional awards to give at their discretion.

**Eligibility** Open to all LGBTQIA+ artists internationally, 18 years of age and older. Original artwork in any media will be considered. Eligible artwork must have been completed after January 1, 2020 and fall within the restrictions.

**Entry Fee** $50 for up to 5 entries.

**Important Dates** Entry deadline: April 13, Notification of Finalists: May 1, Shipped artwork: Must arrive by May 20, Hand delivered artwork: Friday, May 19, Saturday, May 20, 11am - 3pm Exhibition closes: Thursday, July 13, Artwork Pickup: Friday, July 14, Saturday, July 15, 11am - 3pm.
