Call for artwork/Day of the Dead

We are inviting artists to submit their artwork related to the Day of the Dead theme. Accepting all mediums and no limit to the size including altar/ofrenda ideas. We encourage new and emerging artists to apply. Each artist can submit up to three artworks.

Exhibition Dates: Oct. 12th till Nov. 11th
Opening Reception: Saturday, Oct. 12th from 6pm-9pm
Deadline: Wednesday, Sept. 25th midnight
Drop off dates: Monday, Sept. 30th (Hours TBA) 2024

Open Call-is open to anyone older than 18 years of age.
All Media
All work must be ready to install. We can refuse to showcase an artwork if not ready to hang.
No size limit

Entry Fee
$35 for up to three entries submitted. Fees are non-refundable.

What is the fee used for?
Dragonfly Gallery is a nonprofit organization. It is operated by artists, for artists, with no substantial reserve or endowment. All proceeds from entry fees fund exhibitions and programming related expenses.

Submission of images
All digital submissions should be JPEG's. Label each submission with artist First name and last name followed with entry number. (Ivonne Cruz_1.jpg). Attach a Word or PDF of image list with the following for each. Title, Medium, Size, Year, Price (or NFS)

Delivery and Return of work
If shipping work, make sure to include a return label. All shipping costs are paid by the artists. No excepts. Please let us know if you are shipping and include that with the submission of artwork.
Sale of Artwork
All sale prices are set by the artists. Please note Dragonfly Gallery will retain a commission of 25% of the sale price on all artwork sold during the exhibition.
Copyright
All artists retains full copyright of exhibited work. By submitting artwork, artists agree the right to use the images in publications and gallery publicity.
