CALL FOR ART: Biophilia: Visions and Explorations of Ecoculture @ UNION STREET GALLERY

https://unionstreetgallery.sub...

Representing the human tendency to interact or be closely associated with other forms of life in nature, Biophilia: Visions and Explorations of Ecoculture is an upcoming exhibition that seeks artists making artwork that connects humanity to our environment. For this show, we’ll be open to artwork of all mediums (painting, photography, sculpture, textiles, video, etc.), but we’re especially looking for work that combines the materials used and its visual representations to make a statement! We encourage submissions that embrace a multitude of materials including work that has found or recycled objects. Artwork that embraces the visual over the material will also be considered!

There is a $25 submission fee due upon completing this submission!

Each artist can submit a maximum of 5 artworks with a maximum of 3 that will be considered for acceptance by Union Street Gallery staff.

Biophilia will open on April 20th and close on May 13th. The reception for this show will be on April 22nd (on Earth Day) from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

The last day to submit will be April 13th with the last day to drop off (if accepted) to be on April 14th during gallery hours. Drop offs days are as follows: April 7th, April 8th, April 13th, and April 14th.

Acceptances will begin to be sent out through email starting on April 6th.

If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to the Director, Julian Graham, at Director@UnionStreetGallery.org
