AMERICANA DINING: a call for art for Split-Rail's dining room
This call for art is ongoing! Submissions are now open for exhibition opportunities in Split-Rail, a beloved neighborhood restaurant in the West Town neighborhood that also houses the gallery The Martin. This work is curated by Split-Rail's Creative Director Whitney LaMora, @whitneycurates.
Artists are encouraged to submit artwork in any form under the theme AMERICANA DINING. Our restaurant and menu is inspired by classic American dishes with a contemporary twist and we want to showcase artwork that feels like it's at home in our space. We're very open to most things you want to submit!
Things we are not interested in:
- Nudity
- Violence
- Anything grotesque
- Raw canvas
- Unframed photographs
- Free standing sculptures
We are interested in ALL mediums! Your artwork will be considered for the main dining room wall as well as the area by our Chefs Table. Features will be six weeks long and our profit share is 60% Artist, 40% Split-Rail. If your work is chosen to be featured, you will receive 10% off every time you come and drink and dine with us.
Artists from outside of Chicago are encouraged to apply! If your work is chosen, the artist is responsible for cost of shipping work to and from the restaurant.
