Agitator Cooperative Gallery -- The Nook -- Monthly Guest Artist Wall Space
Agitator Cooperative Gallery is now accepting submissions to its monthly Nook – a section of wall space featuring a guest artist’s work in conjunction with its regularly programmed monthly art shows. Agitator Gallery is offering a section of wall space to a guest artist during its monthly member curated show (usually the second Saturday of the month from 6:00-10:00pm). If selected to show art, the guest artist, after being selected from the applicants, will pay a $35 donation fee to help the gallery and its members pay its monthly costs and a 30% donation for any artwork on display that is sold at the gallery at the opening or during its display the following three weeks. Artists, who join and support Agitator Cooperative Gallery by becoming a Junior or Senior Artist Subscriber member via Patreon will automatically receive the benefit of inclusion in one Nook display. https://www.patreon.com/agitatorgallery The guest artist at the Side Show can display one or several 2D artworks on one wall space in the middle passage way in the gallery. (Depending on the size of the monthly featured show, there may be more wall display space to display work.)Artists are welcome to provide information about their artwork in the display area -- description about the artwork and an artist statement and online. Note that several artists may be selected from all the applicants, and each one will be assigned a month to show their work. Agitator Cooperative Gallery Mission Statement Agitator cooperative gallery is a worker cooperative that makes decisions by consensus, valuing each member’s input equally, relying on non-hierarchical collective decision making. Agitator seeks to promote and engage significant art, including art made by conventionally overlooked artists. Members of Agitator are diverse artist-curators with various racial, socioeconomic, gender, and sexual identities. Members share a common goal to curate art work that agitates or campaigns to provoke dialog and generate diversity, while respecting each artist’s vision and self-definition.
