Sadie Woods is a Chicago native with a childhood steeped in performing and visual arts training.
Sadie graduated from Columbia College with a BA in Music and MFA in Sound at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Her practice includes sound art and design, deejay performance, exhibition making, and collaborations within communities of difference. Projects include sound design for Free Street Theater, and collaborations with artists and social activists. She's been a resident artist at the Hyde Park Art Center Program, ACRE, Nichols Tower Homan Square, and a participant of Ecole du Magasin's Curatorial Program (Grenoble, France), Chicago Artists Coalition's HATCH Projects Curatorial Residency, and Independent Curators International's Curatorial Intensive (Dakar, Senegal). Sadie is currently a sponsored artist at High Concept Labs, resident DJ at Boleo at The Gray Hotel, and recipient of Bemis Center for the Arts artist residency 2017.
