Jaclyn Bae is a visual artist whose work integrates aspects of Asian and Western culture, expressing the unique variety of her life experiences based on heritage, cultural gaps, and memories. By pinpointing historical moments in Korean history and integrating them into her life at present, Bae highlights her identity as defined through these changing roles - a Korean immigrant assimilating to life in the United States, a former Buddhist now converted to Christianity, as well as a working mother and artist. Jaclyn Bae is a recent graduate of Northern Illinois University.
