Collectors Circle
The CAC Chartwell Collectors Circle is a dynamic group of emerging and established collectors who share a strong interest in art and supporting Chicago’s role as an arts capital. As a special CAC membership level, Collectors Circle offers an exclusive calendar of educational and social offerings throughout the year to broaden members’ knowledge about contemporary arts and culture. Programs and events include: visits to artists’ studios, galleries, museums and private collections; educational workshops to gain expertise about art collecting and conservation; demonstrations of art-making processes; and much more. Sponsored by Chartwell Insurance Services and Chubb, and presented in partnership with Arts & Business Council of Chicago.
Collectors Circle Annual Membership:

Sip on bubbly and mingle with fellow collectors while perusing hundreds of works in the galleries of Leslie Hindman Auctioneers. Guests of this event will be among the first to preview works from the Modern and Contemporary Art and American and European Art auctions that will take place at Leslie Hindman the following week. All the works will be on view and staff from Leslie Hindman will be on hand to answer questions. Sale highlights include works by Alexander Calder, Wassily Kandinsky, Pablo Picasso, Robert Frank, Ansel Adams, and many, many more.

Artist Studio Tour with Jay Ryan of The Bird Machine

Since 1995, renowned screenprinter Jay Ryan has been producing limited-run, hand-printed posters for some of Chicago’s top alternative musicians and bands, including Andrew Bird, Shellac, the Flaming Lips, the Decemberists, and Jeff Tweedy. His distinctive work is in numerous collections all over the world, and representative of the finest in the screenprinting tradition. For this event, Jay opens his studio doors at The Bird Machine for a tour and demonstration of his screenprinting process. In addition to meeting and talking with Jay, guests will receive a personalized, hand-made print designed and made by Jay for this event. Includes a light reception. Space is limited.
