Join Chartwell Collectors Circle for a tour at the home of David Salkin & Dirk Denison, two of Chicago's premier art collectors and creative professionals. Included in their eclectic Mies van der Rohe apartment are works by William J. O'Brien, Michael E. Smith, Puppies Puppies, and Christine Wang.
Trained in architecture, David Salkin's primary practice as a surface designer involves manipulating plans and grids to form patterns and images that are meant to be inhabited and read as prototypes for new urban formations. His studio focuses on pattern design, generally used for custom rugs, wall surfaces and installations.
Dirk Denison is an architect and educator, whose firm has been recognized both nationally and internationally through awards and publications for outstanding residential and commercial design work. His keen interest in contemporary performing and visual arts, and in addition to supporting art through his personal collection, has resulted in serving various roles supporting the Art Institute of Chicago, the Museum of Contemporary Art, and several other Chicago arts organizations.
Open to Collectors Circle members only. Limited availability, RSVP required.
