Danny Giles combines objects, images and ideas to give form to political and metaphysical positions.
His practice attempts to represent performative states of dispossession and to redress oppressive and exploitative systems while exploring the artists own subjective experience. Giles received his BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2011 and his MFA from Northwestern University in 2013. Giles has exhibited and performed work at art spaces and museums including Links Hall, Chicago, the MCA Chicago, and El Museo Tamayo, Mexico City. Giles is a Lecturer at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and Academic Director at the Ox-Bow School of Art and Artists' Residency.
