For her solo exhibition, BOLT Resident Laura Davis presents Unknown Pleasures—a title taken from the 1979 Joy Division album of the same name, which in turn was taken from a line in Marcel Proust’s Remembrance of Things Past. By referencing this iconic album, which references an iconic book, Davis’ work reveals domestic or personal adornment as deeply emotional. More…
