Instead, artists will only be required to be a current CAC member upon acceptance to Bolt Residency. Artists Bernell Loeb and Christie Helm will each present their dynamic paintings at the Coalition Gallery Booth;  Art Loop Open’s Art Chicago/Merit Prize Winner Duncan Robert Anderson displays his sculptural works in the Art Loop Open Booth; Bernard Williams presents Buffalo Chart in the first floor lobby as Art Loop Open’s Artropolis Merit Prize Winner; Merchandise Mart’s Works on Paper Residency presents the exhibition opening, “Multiplicity” in Suite 1562; and Executive Director Carolina Jayaram (Esq) presents at the keynote lecture: “Culture+Community: Dynamic New Models,” Friday April 29.

Fiscal Sponsorship & Insurance for Artists

Led by Emily Gray and Julianna Steele from Fractured Atlas.

Cost: FREE for CAC members, $15 for non-members

(All participants must pre-register.)

Fiscal Sponsorship great way for individual artists, a group of artists, or a small art organization to receive funding, such as grants or sponsorships, for particular projects that they would not normally be eligible for. A legally recognized 501(c)(3) public charity, like Fractured Atlas, can act as the fiscal agent. Once sponsored by a fiscal agent, the project is eligible to solicit and receive grants and tax-deductible contributions that are normally available only to 501(c)(3) organizations.

Additionally, Fractured Atlas can provide members with high-quality insurance coverage (both General Liability and Health) for much lower rates than would otherwise be possible, and they can assist in finding which coverage is best suited to your artistic needs.
