We’re so thrilled about our new office, exhibition and residency space, that we want to pass the excitement on to our members. Since there are white walls to spare, we want to share our members’ art with everyone who walks in our doors!

Read the details and proposal requirements below to find out how you can show your work in CAC’s new space.

-        Wall space is 8 feet high x 16 feet wide.
-        Best suited for medium to large 2D works (wall-mounted sculptural pieces also accepted).
-        Artists will be responsible for delivery/drop-off of work, installation and pick up.
-        There is no fee to participate, however, only current CAC members are eligible.

To Participate:

-        Submit your proposal, including: Artist Statement and 5-7 images to Alyson (alyson@chicagoartistscoalition.org). Proposals are accepted on an on-going basis.
-        Only electronic submissions will be considered.
-        Please email all files as attachments with images in JPG format (600×800 pixels or less, 72dpi).

1 – 2 CAC artist members per month will be selected to hang their work in our space for a 4 week period. (The size and subject matter of the work will determine if two artists are paired together, or if only one artist will be spotlighted.) Work may also be selected with thought to the current show on exhibit in Coalition Gallery.  Once selected, an artist will not be eligible to resubmit for one year from their installation date. If the display at CAC results in a purchase, CAC will facilitate the sale with a 20% admin fee.
