Funders & Partners

Chicago Artists’ Coalition is a membership organization dedicated to and bolstered by artists and the community that supports them. The organization is a 501(c)(3) and is generously supported by numerous Chicago based and national funders, including:

The Emily Hall Tremaine Foundation; The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts; The Chicago Community Trust; The Coleman Foundation; Alphawood Foundation; The John E. & Jeanne T. Hughes Foundation; The Richard H. Driehaus Foundation through The MacArthur Fund for Arts and Culture; Arts Work Fund; The Gaylord and Dorothy Donnelley Foundation; Illinois Arts Council, a state agency; CityArts; and the generosity of members and supporters.

In addition, CAC works closely with the private sector and community organizations on partnerships benefiting artists in myriad ways including exhibitions, commissions, collaborations, sales, events and more. Such partnerships are a vital resource to the organization, both as earned revenue but more importantly, as a building block to a sustainable marketplace for the creative sector. Partnerships include 1871; Merchandise Mart; Patron Spirits; Groupon; Public House; Taste of Chicago 2012 through the City of Chicago; Expo Chicago International Exposition of Contemporary and Modern Art; Self-Employment in the Arts (SEA); Art Serve Michigan; Lillstreet Arts Center; Hyde Park Art Center; I Am Logan Square; Chicago Photography Center; Girl & the Goat, Avec, 160 Blue, Province, Art Chicago | NEXT, Alliance Bakery, Tito’s Vodka, Haymarket Brewery, Dining Out Magazine and more. We are grateful to these partners and welcome new and innovative collaborations across sectors in the future.
