Chicago Artists’ Coalition is a membership organization – dedicated to and bolstered by artists and the community that supports them. The organization is a 501(c)(3) and is generously supported by numerous Chicago based and national funders, including:

Driehaus Foundation through The MacArthur Fund for Arts and Culture; Arts Work Fund; Alphawood Foundation; The Gaylord and Dorothy Donnelley Foundation; Illinois Arts Council, a state agency; CityArts; and the generosity of members and supporters.

In addition, CAC works closely with the private sector and community organizations on partnerships benefiting artists in myriad ways including exhibitions, commissions, collaborations, sales, events and more. Such partnerships are a vital resource to the organization, both as earned revenue but more importantly, as a building block to a sustainable marketplace for the creative sector. Partnerships in 2011 included Lillstreet, Hyde Park Art Center, I Am Logan Square, Chicago Photography Center, Self Employment in the Arts, Merchandise Mart, EXPO Chicago Art Fair, Groupon, Patron, Girl & the Goat, Avec, 160 Blue, Province, Art Chicago | NEXT, Alliance Bakery, Tito’s Vodka, Haymarket Brewery, Dining Out Magazine and more.
